Time to get consistent

I finally had a chance to get some training yesterday. I had it scheduled to meet Jordan Vezina from Average to Elite over a month ago but tweaking my back put it off until now. It took much longer than I expected but I'm learning that I really need to be patient.

Right away when I started my swings Jordan said, "stop, I see how you hurt yourself." which was funny because I had been trying to convince myself that it wasn't my swing form that had done it. I was of course fooling myself and having someone experienced lay what I needed to do so my form was correct is just what I was looking for. I had been leaning back with my torso a bit at the top of the swing and once it was pointed out to me it was clear as day. Jordan was great to learn from. A nice guy to boot.

I have what I think is a pretty good idea of the routine that I would like to set up for myself. I'll start posting my new routine and what I'm getting out of it shortly.

My back is much better now aside from that healing kind of ache that I get occasionally but now my left wrist is sore. This is the wrist that I've had two surgeries on and I think it is complaining about the clap pushups I tried a week ago. I'm listening to my body though and I'll take it easy on my wrist as much as possible.

Time to wash the dogs before I get dressed and head to a wedding for some friends of Margaret and me.

Life is good!
